Risk Operations Analyst

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, dedicated to increasing the GDP of the internet. As a Risk Operations Analyst, you will join a team responsible for managing risk relationships across global payment methods and financial partners, building operational controls to mitigate risk and enable strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate merchants ranging from startups to established institutions to assess their suitability for the Stripe platform.
• Identify trends and report findings to cross-functional teams to enhance detection systems and mitigate emerging risks.
• Contribute to projects aimed at optimizing due diligence strategies, systems, and operational tools.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, Stripe users, and external financial partners.
• Build and scale processes across the risk operations ecosystem while questioning assumptions to drive improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or operations within a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to scale operational processes and drive quantifiable improvements.
• Experience working cross-functionally to solve complex problems using data-driven insights.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and a desire to challenge the status quo.
• Deep empathy for entrepreneurs and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
