Research Engineer Intern (Video/Multimodal LLM)

Tether Operations Limited is seeking talented MSc and PhD candidates for a Research Engineer Internship focused on Video and Multimodal Large Language Models. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to state-of-the-art foundation models and optimize distributed training frameworks within a global, innovation-driven fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop cutting-edge LLM, video, and multimodal models to advance open-source progress.
• Implement large model applications across business scenarios, including pre-training, supervised fine-tuning, and inference.
• Continuously optimize training frameworks to support large-scale model training on thousands of multi-node GPUs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance the development of foundation models and integrated products.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an MSc or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Proven research experience in at least one of the following areas: LLM, computer vision, or multimodality.
• Proficiency with the PyTorch deep learning framework and associated libraries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills with excellent communication abilities.
• Publications in top-tier AI conferences such as NIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, or ACL are considered a significant advantage.
