Render Engineering Team Lead

As a Render Engineering Team Lead at Renewed Vision, you will shape the future of our core rendering systems while leading and growing the talented engineers who build them. You will guide the team in optimizing video processing pipelines, enabling low-latency streaming, and pushing the boundaries of audio and video technology, all while remaining hands-on with critical technical challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of render engineers by setting technical direction, aligning priorities, and ensuring high-quality execution.
• Stay hands-on by designing key systems, resolving complex performance issues, and conducting critical code reviews.
• Oversee the technical strategy for rendering, media pipelines, and overall platform performance.
• Manage people leadership duties, including coaching, career development, performance reviews, and team growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to balance product roadmaps with long-term technical health.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with multi-threaded rendering and optimizing complex, real-time systems.
• Deep proficiency in C++ and low-level graphics APIs such as OpenGL, Metal, or DirectX.
• Strong understanding of video streaming technologies and low-latency processing pipelines.
• Experience with embedded programming and hardware-aware performance optimization.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly, provide actionable feedback, and make effective technical tradeoffs.
