Remote Household Data Specialist - Video Capture (Japan)

Micro1 is looking for a dedicated Household Data Specialist to help train the next generation of personal robotics. In this fully remote role, you will capture high-quality video demonstrations of everyday household tasks using specialized wearable devices, providing the essential training data needed for robots to operate effectively in real-world home environments.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and submit high-quality video demonstrations of household tasks using a UMI gripper wearable device.
• Follow detailed, task-specific instructions to ensure all recordings meet rigorous project standards.
• Review feedback from project leads and iteratively refine your approach to improve data quality.
• Operate and set up recording equipment to accurately mimic real-world hand movements.
• Maintain a consistent weekly workflow to meet project data requirements.

Requirements

• Keen attention to detail and the ability to follow complex specifications precisely.
• Manual dexterity and experience with physical tasks in varied household environments.
• Comfort with operating and wearing specialized devices, including VR headsets and hand-tracking gloves.
• Strong communication skills and openness to receiving and implementing prompt feedback.
• Reliable access to a stable, high-speed internet connection for uploading large video files.
