Recruiter / Senior Recruiter

Epoch AI is a research institute dedicated to investigating machine learning trends and the economic impact of artificial intelligence. We are seeking a Recruiter or Senior Recruiter to own our end-to-end hiring pipelines and help us build a world-class team across research, engineering, and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Scope new roles with hiring managers by defining ideal candidate profiles and realistic timelines.
• Proactively source talent through networks, job boards, and direct outreach.
• Design effective skills assessments and screening filters that mirror real-world tasks.
• Manage 5–10 simultaneous hiring rounds, including scheduling, budgets, and decision-making processes.
• Provide fast, warm, and transparent communication to candidates throughout the entire recruitment lifecycle.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably within a small or early-stage organization.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and a willingness to experiment with AI tools.
• Strong prioritization skills to manage multiple stakeholders and competing hiring needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide transparent, constructive feedback.
• High agency and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
