R&D Lead - Network Capabilities

DCG is seeking an experienced R&D Lead to spearhead the development of future network capabilities. In this role, you will define research agendas and shape the long-term vision for intelligent, adaptive networks at the intersection of AI, sensing, and physical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the research agenda for future network capabilities and explore emerging paradigms.
• Develop and validate innovative concepts through hands-on prototyping and experimentation.
• Build and maintain strategic collaborations with academia, startups, and industry partners.
• Identify and assess impactful technology trends to translate research into strategic telecom capabilities.
• Represent the organization in global research ecosystems and contribute to thought leadership.

Requirements

• Expertise in network architectures, distributed AI, physical AI, sensing, or autonomous systems.
• Proven experience in applied research, advanced technology strategy, or experimental development.
• Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to work across multiple technical domains.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• A degree in Computer Science, AI, Telecommunications, Robotics, or Systems Engineering; a PhD is considered a strong advantage.
