Quality Lead Engineer

Euroclear is currently undergoing a significant technological modernization, transitioning from legacy COBOL systems to a robust Java-based architecture utilizing event-driven technologies like Kafka. We are seeking a forward-thinking Quality Lead Engineer to join our GBS division and play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our migrated services within an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Solution Architects and Product Owners to deliver seamless migration of legacy applications to service-oriented architectures.
• Lead the development of comprehensive end-to-end testing solutions that address both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Define and present optimal test strategies and estimation principles to key stakeholders.
• Perform peer reviews of test scenarios and cases while maintaining rigorous defect management standards.
• Identify and mitigate project risks by facilitating technical discussions and analyzing complex system data.

Requirements

• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing with extensive experience in leading testing strategies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java programming, Object-Oriented Design, and SQL.
• Proven expertise in implementing event-driven technologies, specifically Kafka and Kafka streams.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, including BDD, TDD, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to design distributed multi-platform solutions.
