Quality Assurance Lead

Dorado Software Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to take ownership of the QA function at a senior level. In this leadership role, you will guide a team of five engineers, driving a strategic transformation toward a modern, automation-first, and AI-enabled quality operation across our product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own the comprehensive QA strategy, establishing clear standards, processes, and quality gates for product releases.
• Lead the transformation of the QA function by implementing a credible roadmap focused on automation and AI-assisted testing.
• Act as a hands-on people leader, managing performance, supporting career development, and fostering a quality-focused culture.
• Expand automation coverage significantly while reducing reliance on manual regression testing.
• Collaborate closely with engineering leads and Product Managers to integrate quality practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading or managing a QA team, with a track record of building or significantly transforming QA functions.
• Strong hands-on background in software testing, specifically with native desktop applications.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting for building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience with UI desktop automation tools such as WinAppDriver, Appium, or Squish.
• Ability to integrate automation frameworks into modern build flows and AI-assisted development environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across a globally distributed team.
