QA Lead (Test Automation)

For the pharmaceutical company we are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to drive the establishment of best QA automation practices. As a QA Automation Lead, you will take ownership of quality strategy and execution across one or more teams, acting as a QA Lead. You’ll guide and mentor other QA engineers, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and user trust.

The most essential skill is strong experience coding in JavaScript/TypeScript in the context of complex testing processes (additional experience as a Software Engineer with JS/TS is a plus). Your daily work will include using Playwright and Cypress, and supporting test automation with Python, Java, and other tools that enhance quality testing

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of test automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, JavaScript, and TypeScript to support high-quality digital solutions

2. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle

3. Define and drive test automation strategy, standards, and best practices across products, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with organizational quality objectives

4. Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites for web-based applications, ensuring reliable validation of functional and non-functional requirements

5. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous delivery practices that enable fast and reliable software releases

6. Analyze test results, identify quality risks and root causes of defects, and work with cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective actions

7. Mentor QA Engineers and promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and engineering excellence within Agile product teams

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience working as a Test Automation Engineer (additional experience as a Software Engineer - nice to have)

• Additional experience as a Test Lead is highly appreciated

• Broad QA Automation experience to be a leader that improves ways of working and is helping others to grow

• Ability to define and drive comprehensive test strategies

• Strong experience with JavaScript QA Automation frameworks

• Strong experience working with Playwright and Cypress

• Additionally, support with Python and Java testing is welcome

• Experience working with Cloud solutions (preferable AWS)

• Familiarity with modern AI-driven QA tools and techniques

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
