QA Engineer (Remote locations)

Halborn is an elite cybersecurity company dedicated to solving complex adversarial problems within the cryptocurrency and fintech industries. We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer to join our globally distributed team and help ensure the highest standards of security and reliability for our cutting-edge technology products.

Key responsibilities

• Own the test strategy for internal engineering platforms and client-facing products, covering everything from unit tests to end-to-end regression suites.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for UI, API, and data layers to ensure fast and reliable feedback loops.
• Implement and tune quality gates in CI/CD pipelines to prevent broken builds and automate manual QA processes.
• Partner with security engineers to integrate security regression checks into the standard development pipeline.
• Define and report on critical quality metrics, including escaped defect rates and test coverage of key paths.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in QA engineering, SDET, or test automation with a focus on automated coverage.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python, with experience using modern frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or pytest.
• Practical experience with API testing, including contract and negative-path testing against REST or GraphQL services.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD systems and comfort with Git and containerized environments.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, distributed team.
