QA Automation Engineer

At NOVACARD, we are redefining how people use credit by providing the first interest-free and no-annual-fee credit card in Mexico. We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to own the quality of key user scenarios across our stack, building a reliable automation system that covers everything from mobile app actions to complex backend data validation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain UI autotests for the Flutter mobile application using Python and Appium.
• Design and evolve the automation framework architecture, including Page Object patterns and business step layers.
• Integrate autotests into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI to ensure efficient execution on emulators and real devices.
• Perform functional, integration, and end-to-end testing, including complex API and asynchronous message queue validation.
• Analyze test results, report risks, and maintain test data preparation scripts using SQL and internal service APIs.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in mobile UI test automation and 5+ years in microservice-based application testing.
• Strong Python skills with hands-on experience using pytest and Appium.
• Confident SQL skills for data validation in MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of API testing, asynchronous communication (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and CI/CD integration.
• Fluent English at B1+ level for technical documentation and international collaboration.
