Python Developer (aviation)

The project is carried out for a state-owned institution responsible for air traffic management and ensuring the safe and efficient handling of flights within Polish airspace. The organization develops modern air navigation systems and collaborates with both national and international partners to enhance the efficiency and safety of air transportation.

Our expectations:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in Python programming.

• Advanced knowledge of Django, FastAPI, or Flask frameworks.

• University degree in computer science or a related technical field.

• Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs.

• Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID, DRY, and KISS principles.

• Competence in designing relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

• Knowledge of and experience working with Linux.

• Experience in implementing WebSocket communication.

• Experience with CI/CD processes (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).

• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch, Redis).

• Knowledge of security best practices (OWASP Top 10).

• Experience in service and infrastructure monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana).

• Experience in integrating with external systems and queuing systems.

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript.

• Ability to optimize backend application performance.

• English proficiency at a minimum B2 level.

• Willingness to occasionally visit the client's office in Warsaw.

Key tasks:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining backend applications in Python.

• Participating in system architecture design and technical solution analysis.

• Proposing and implementing solutions for technical and business problems.

• Implementing automated tests.

• Participating in code reviews.

• Ensuring code readability, performance, and security.

• Designing and implementing database solutions (SQL).

• Preparing and maintaining Docker and Kubernetes configurations.

• Integrating applications with external systems (REST APIs, queuing systems).

• Participating in Scrum team activities (estimation, planning, backlog refinement).

• Preparing and updating technical and architectural documentation.

• Collaborating with the team on requirement analysis and change implementation.

• Providing technical support to the team and mentoring junior developers.

• Identifying technical risks and proposing mitigation strategies.

• Optimizing backend application performance.
