Python Automation Engineer (AI-Driven)

SolveMD is seeking a highly experienced Python Automation Engineer to join our AI Augmentation team. In this role, you will build and maintain a shared infrastructure layer that powers AI-driven solutions across various departments, including HR, legal, and finance, while working closely with AI coding agents to accelerate development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own a shared Python library for authentication, configuration, and logging to standardize AI solution deployments.
• Design an AI gateway to manage model access, cost tracking, and audit logging across all internal services.
• Create project templates that enable rapid deployment from initial commit to production.
• Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and document technical processes to ensure high engineering standards.
• Manage internal platforms, including AI coding agent marketplaces and architecture assessment tools.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in building and running production-grade software, with a strong background in technical leadership.
• Expertise in Python, FastAPI, and experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, including prompt design, evaluation, and cost management.
• Proficiency in AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitLab CI.
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Availability for significant daily overlap with US Eastern Time zone hours.
