Protocol Risk Lead

Makina is a crypto-native organization of builders and DeFi leaders focused on developing trust-minimized infrastructure for the next generation of onchain strategies. We are currently seeking a Protocol Risk Lead to join our dynamic team and help shape the technical direction of our novel framework for onchain asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive framework to assess and monitor protocol-wide risk.
• Conduct strategy analysis, review, and risk scoring.
• Set up and maintain a robust monitoring system for the machines running on the Makina protocol.
• Perform onchain DeFi risk analysis and monitor protocol exposure to individual tokens.
• Develop stress testing frameworks to model the resilience of the protocol to outlier events.

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of DeFi protocols and strong expertise in risk control and management.
• Proficiency in analyzing protocols across various risk categories, including smart contract, economic, and governance risks.
• Advanced proficiency in on-chain investigation tools like Etherscan, Nansen, and Phalcon, as well as data tools like Dune and Subgraphs.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a capacity for independent and flexible thinking.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and detail-oriented approach to work.
