Programme Director

The Climate Emergency Collaboration Group is seeking a Programme Director to lead and oversee a clear programme strategy, ensuring impactful implementation through grantmaking and team leadership. This role is pivotal in shaping global conversations and leveraging advocacy to maximize impact across the climate sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and articulation of the programme strategy aligned with the organization's vision and mission.
• Oversee the successful implementation of the strategy, managing the team responsible for delivery and monitoring budgets.
• Lead grantmaking processes, including partner identification and approval procedures.
• Represent the organization externally, building relationships with governments, institutions, civil society, and donors.
• Support active fundraising efforts in coordination with the Partnership Manager and CEO.
• Lead, motivate, and support direct reports, fostering an inclusive and trust-based environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of senior management experience in public policy, advocacy, or related fields.
• Proven stakeholder management and change delivery experience.
• Experience working in multilateral or UN settings, or within philanthropy and grant management.
• Master’s Degree in Climate, Environment, Economics, International Policy, Political Sciences, or a related field.
