Program Underwriter Transportation

We are looking for a dedicated Program Underwriter to join our team and contribute to our mission of positively impacting lives through excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate new business submissions specifically for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation and Ambulance risks to ensure appetite acceptability.
• Negotiate new business quotes and renewals with insurance carrier underwriting partners to successfully bind coverage.
• Maintain comprehensive underwriting files and prepare necessary reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with agents to drive multi-line sales, including workers compensation, general liability, and professional liability coverages.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial auto underwriting experience, with a strong preference for transportation industry expertise.
• Deep knowledge of commercial auto insurance, including rating structures, policy forms, and coverage nuances.
• Proven ability to make timely, informed decisions and build strong, lasting relationships with agents and insureds.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Experience utilizing Insurance Agency Management Systems to manage workflows and data.
