The Pulitzer Center is a global organization dedicated to supporting in-depth journalism and fostering civic engagement on critical systemic issues. We are seeking a mission-driven Program Coordinator to support our growing AI Initiative, ensuring our editorial programs, training sessions, and community-building efforts run with precision and purpose.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the production of our bi-weekly AI newsletter, including sourcing content and managing editorial workflows.
- Support the AI Spotlight Series by managing event logistics, coordinating with coaches, and overseeing participant applications.
- Administer grant and fellowship processes, including processing paperwork, scheduling payments, and tracking project deliverables.
- Maintain and analyze program metrics to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams, external contractors, and global partners to ensure effective program execution.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in administrative and programmatic support for distributed teams.
- Strong understanding of or interest in the impact of AI on society, algorithmic accountability, and journalism.
- Proven ability to manage complex workflows, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in grant administration, payment processing, and virtual event logistics.
- Excellent communication skills with cultural sensitivity for working across diverse global regions.
- Experience with website analytics, data management, and community-building platforms.
