Product Owner

Avenga is seeking a dedicated Product Owner to act as the voice of the customer within an agile team focused on clinical software solutions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex clinical workflows and technical development, ensuring that our software effectively supports oncology care delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Translate clinical needs into a prioritized, well-scoped team backlog while collaborating with architecture, security, and UX teams.
• Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements to guide the development process.
• Lead refinement sessions with the development team to plan the delivery of value across sprints and iterations.
• Support the Business Product Manager in processing customer requests and prioritizing the discovery backlog.
• Socialize incoming features with the development team early to surface feedback and align with program objectives.

Requirements

• Direct experience in oncology care delivery or closely adjacent clinical specialties within a hospital or software environment.
• Deep understanding of the oncology patient journey, including referral, diagnostics, treatment, and surveillance.
• Practical knowledge of hospital operations, clinician workflows, and the clinical data landscape, including EMR/EHR systems and interoperability standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with oncologists, pathologists, and nurses to translate clinical reasoning into actionable requirements.
• Awareness of regulatory and quality frameworks governing clinical software, such as medical device safety and patient data protection.
