Product Manager for Bonsai (Innovation Hub)

JetBrains is seeking an Entrepreneur in Residence/Product Lead to join the Innovation Hub and lead the strategy for Thinkrail, an innovative project focused on a declarative programming language for AI-spec-driven development. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a product from its early stages, working closely with the technical founder to bridge the gap between complex AI systems and developer workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Own the product strategy by defining the direction, validating key hypotheses, and prioritizing development efforts.
• Conduct continuous discovery by engaging with developers to identify pain points and real-world workflow opportunities.
• Define the initial product scope, including identifying core use cases and target audiences for zero-to-one development.
• Shape the go-to-market strategy, including positioning, messaging, and product launches.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to maintain focus and alignment in a highly ambiguous environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience with end-to-end ownership of strategy, discovery, and delivery.
• Proven startup experience, specifically in small teams with a track record of building and shipping zero-to-one products.
• Strong background in developer tools or AI-driven products.
• High level of autonomy and comfort making strategic decisions with limited information.
• Strong technical fluency with the ability to work effectively alongside engineers.
