Product Engineer

SafetyWing is building a global social safety net for remote workers, offering health, insurance, and retirement products designed to replace national welfare systems. As a Product Engineer, you will play a critical role in scaling our systems and shaping the future of our products while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and scale backend services using clean, maintainable code.
• Collaborate closely with product teams to define requirements and design robust system architectures.
• Manage the full product development lifecycle, from initial design and implementation to testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Utilize modern technologies including Kotlin, Java, TypeScript, React, and Next.js to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the company by participating in product and process innovation.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in backend development with Java, with Kotlin being a significant advantage.
• Hands-on experience building scalable backend services.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Solid understanding of the entire software development lifecycle.
• Intellectual curiosity and a passion for exploring and implementing new technologies.
