Product Designer, Connect

Chess.com is the world's leading platform for chess, serving over 200 million players globally with a mission to provide the best tools for learning and playing. We are looking for a talented Product Designer to join our Connect team and help shape the social and interactive experiences that define how our community interacts.

Key responsibilities

• Design polished, production-ready user interfaces for web, iOS, and Android platforms.
• Own design projects from initial problem definition through to final implementation.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure high-quality design-to-code alignment.
• Utilize our established design system to create responsive and intuitive user experiences.
• Iterate on prototypes using modern AI-assisted tools to communicate complex ideas efficiently.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience as a Product Designer for consumer-facing products or games.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating polished UI design for web and mobile applications.
• Deep understanding of UI fundamentals including typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Experience working with established design systems, tokens, and component libraries.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a globally distributed remote team.
