Global Head of Logistics Procurement

Responsibilities:

• Ensure high levels of contract management controls

• Assess, identify and select the appropriate supplier base across transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding and logistics services

• Lead and project manage key strategic procurement, transformation and network optimisation initiatives

• Deliver best-in-class cost savings, cash improvements and value creation

• Continuously improve ways of working and optimise procurement activities

• Ensure satisfaction of internal senior stakeholders

• Lead complex commercial negotiations with global logistics service providers

• Create and lead cross-functional initiatives

• Own procurement fundamentals for the Logistics category

• Accountable for delivery and reporting of targets globally

• Drive supplier innovation, resilience and sustainability programmes

• Support business continuity planning and risk mitigation

• Lead supplier relationship management programmes with critical logistics partners

Requirements:

• University degree

• At least 8 years experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Logistics

• Experience in supplier relationship management

• Experience managing strategic sourcing and transformation projects

• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Experience working across international cross-functional teams

• Demonstrated experience negotiating with strategic logistics suppliers

• Experience leading and developing procurement professionals

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of the USA logistics market
