Principal/Staff Software Engineer

TechTree is seeking a Principal or Staff Software Engineer to join our team in building enterprise-grade systems for hospitals and clinics. You will focus on developing AI-driven patient communication, triage tools, and secure healthcare data layers, working in a hands-on, Python-heavy environment to solve complex, high-impact challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and scale advanced AI agents tailored for healthcare applications.
• Develop systems involving LLMs, reinforcement learning, and agent-based architectures.
• Design robust system architecture and take ownership of reliability at scale.
• Collaborate with a focused team to ship features and iterate on products quickly.
• Support team members through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience building complex, production-grade software systems.
• Strong systems thinking skills with a proven ability to design scalable architecture.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in supporting other engineers through mentorship.
• High agency and a low-ego approach to working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
