Principal Product Security Engineer

Tellent is looking for a Principal Product Security Engineer to shape how we design, build, and ship secure software. In this hands-on role, you will work directly within the engineering team to identify vulnerabilities, implement secure-by-default patterns, and drive our product security roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Perform deep manual security reviews and offensive testing across services, APIs, and clients.
• Threat model high-risk product surfaces, including new AI functionality.
• Own the technical strategy for application security tooling and triage vulnerabilities.
• Identify root causes to build systemic fixes and secure-by-default libraries.
• Develop secure development standards and partner with engineering teams to verify fixes.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on application or product security experience.
• Strong understanding of access control, authentication, authorization, and business logic abuse.
• Hands-on engineering skills with the ability to read and write production code.
• Experience threat modeling real systems and translating findings into practical work.
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, low-ego approach.
