Principal Engineer -- Full-Stack TypeScript (Node.js, React, Cloud)

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team and take full ownership of our internal platforms and client-facing web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy full-stack web applications using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js.
• Design and maintain robust back-end services, APIs, and integrations with third-party platforms.
• Manage the full product lifecycle, including problem discovery, technical design, implementation, and ongoing performance monitoring on Google Cloud or AWS.
• Partner with creative and operations teams to translate complex workflows into reliable, well-designed software solutions.
• Set high technical standards by driving code reviews, testing protocols, and documentation best practices.
• Integrate AI capabilities and LLM APIs into our applications to enhance productivity and functionality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on production-grade TypeScript.
• Expert-level proficiency in React, Next.js, and Node.js, including deep knowledge of component architecture and HTTP API development.
• Proven hands-on experience deploying and operating production applications on Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
• Strong database skills, particularly with PostgreSQL and document-based stores.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive with autonomy, making confident architectural decisions and managing complex projects from concept to delivery.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both engineering and creative stakeholders.
