Principal Android Engineer (Kotlin/Compose)

Experis Manpower Group is seeking a highly experienced Principal Android Engineer to join their team in a fully remote capacity. You will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of complex, high-scale mobile applications while ensuring top-tier performance and stability.

Key responsibilities

• Own high-risk initiatives from initial problem definition through to successful production release.
• Define technical architecture, create design records, and drive improvements in application health across multiple modules.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to evaluate trade-offs, identify risks, and propose effective solutions.
• Lead design reviews and mentor senior engineers to foster knowledge sharing and maintain high coding standards.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, including crashes, ANRs, and performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional experience in Android development.
• Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and large-scale multi-module architectures.
• Proven track record of leading architectural initiatives in large, multi-team environments.
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
• Excellent English communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
