Power Platform Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Microsoft Power Platform Engineer to join the Workflow & Engineering Enablement team on a firmwide initiative for a leading Investments client. You will help build new Power Platform-based applications for the Global Operations team, including user interfaces to manage data lifecycle and workflow automation. This is a high-visibility role working closely with cross-functional teams to design and deliver business applications that streamline operations and provide data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Development: design, develop, and implement custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Dataverse; build scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions integrating with SharePoint, Azure, SQL, and third-party APIs; create and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate; design data models, entities, and relationships for effective data management; integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 and external systems such as Azure Functions; develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI; and work with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into tailored solutions.

Maintenance and Support: monitor and maintain the health of Power Platform applications to ensure high availability and performance; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing ongoing support and training to end-users; and optimize Power Platform usage by decommissioning unused resources and archiving unnecessary data to reduce cost.

SDLC: work within a scrum team and track work in Jira (or similar); collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and developers to gather requirements and deliver on time; automate testing and deployment; and maintain technical documentation including design specs, test plans, and user guides.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years working with Microsoft Power Platform; proven track record developing custom applications with Power Apps; strong experience building workflows with Power Automate and reports with Power BI; experience integrating Power Platform with other Microsoft technologies and external connectors.

Technical Skills: proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Excel; experience with Power Platform connectors (e.g., AI Builder, Salesforce); Azure Functions and DevOps experience is a plus; familiarity with SQL and Python.

Soft Skills: excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
