Power BI Engineer

Softeta is a software engineering partner specializing in building and modernizing integration-critical systems for high-stakes sectors like finance and energy. We are currently looking for a skilled Power BI Engineer to join our team and support a client in the retail and tourism industry.

Key responsibilities

• Developing new Power BI dashboards to enhance internal reporting capabilities and support data-driven decision-making.
• Building intelligent dashboards that automatically surface key insights and highlight relevant information for users.
• Refactoring and optimizing existing dashboards to improve maintainability, scalability, and enable easier rollout across multiple countries.
• Supporting the Analytics Engineering team in improving and maintaining existing dbt models and assisting with the design of new models in Snowflake.
• Improving report development processes by leveraging Git-based version control, automation, and GenAI-powered documentation.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and DAX.
• Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and analytics engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and data transformation workflows within modern cloud data warehouses like Snowflake.
• Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability and usability.
• Fluent English proficiency, both written and spoken.
