Platform Engineer

Square One Resources is looking for a skilled Platform Engineer to join a large-scale modernization program within the financial services sector. You will be part of an experienced international team focused on delivering secure, scalable, and highly automated cloud platforms using cutting-edge technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and implementing robust Azure platform architectures and maintaining Azure Landing Zones.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Working extensively with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and managing Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Implementing cloud governance, security, and compliance standards across the platform.
• Supporting application teams in adopting cloud-native technologies and ensuring operational excellence.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in cloud or platform engineering with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Solid knowledge of Azure platform architecture, governance, networking, and security principles.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure automation tools.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a distributed, international team environment.
• Strong communication skills in English and experience in regulated industry environments.
