Platform Engineer Java

Revolut is a global financial technology company on a mission to provide more control and freedom to millions of customers worldwide. We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Technology team and contribute to the core backend systems that power our innovative financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Building and scaling our core backend systems to support high-throughput operations.
• Writing efficient, concurrent code at production scale.
• Solving complex technical problems that impact multiple engineering teams across the organization.
• Reviewing code and providing guidance to other engineers regarding system design and architecture.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in backend engineering.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
• Production fluency in Java, or deep expertise in languages like Kotlin, Scala, Python, or Go with a willingness to work primarily in Java.
• Proven track record of building foundational platforms or core systems used by other engineers.
• Strong experience working with distributed systems at a meaningful scale.
