Platform Engineer, Golang & IaC (Remote, European Union)

Spacelift is the infrastructure orchestration platform built for the modern software era, managing the full lifecycle for both traditional IaC and AI-accelerated infrastructure. We are looking for a Platform Engineer to help us build and scale the systems that power our platform, ensuring high performance and reliability for our users.

Key responsibilities

• Build and own the platform that powers all of Spacelift, from CI/CD to observability and incident response.
• Improve our code delivery pipeline by reducing friction, tightening feedback loops, and eliminating flakiness.
• Strengthen our SLOs and observability posture to provide every team with better signals.
• Sharpen our on-call experience by improving alert quality, response speed, and postmortem hygiene.
• Optimize platform cost and scaling behavior across various workloads and regions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering with hands-on experience owning production systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go and experience working with IaC tools such as OpenTofu, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Proven experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, or developer-facing tooling.
• A strong product mindset with the ability to focus on solving complex problems rather than just completing tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to learning new tools and technologies.
