micro1 is seeking distinguished Physics Experts, including Professors and Principal Investigators, to provide high-level domain guidance for an impactful project. In this role, you will apply your deep expertise in high-energy or mathematical physics to help train next-generation AI systems, ensuring they learn and reason with the highest level of scientific accuracy.
Key responsibilities
- Adjudicate and render expert judgment on competing physics arguments, solutions, or interpretations within your specialized subfield.
- Compare alternative approaches to complex problems, detailing their superiority, underlying assumptions, and specific regimes of validity.
- Identify and articulate meta-level criteria for evaluating the robustness of physics work, including key assumptions and potential breaking points.
- Draft rigorous, defensible written evaluations suitable for review by fellow senior physicists.
- Utilize technical tools such as LaTeX, SymPy, Python, and Jupyter to verify or contrast technical claims as needed.
Requirements
- PhD in physics with a demonstrated track record of scholarly impact and independent research leadership.
- Current or former Associate Professor, Full Professor, or Principal Investigator status.
- Ongoing research activity involving methods such as AdS/CFT, onshell gravitational action, or tensor-algebra of boundary curvature invariants.
- Ability to provide 3–5 recent representative publications in your target subfield.
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to articulate nuanced and well-reasoned scientific judgments.
What we offer
- The opportunity to shape the development of advanced AI systems using your domain expertise.
- A fully remote working environment that respects your professional autonomy.
- Engagement in high-level intellectual challenges that bridge the gap between theoretical physics and machine learning.
