micro1 is seeking a Physics Expert specializing in Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) physics and the optical properties of materials to contribute to a specialized project. In this role, you will leverage your deep domain expertise to help train next-generation AI systems, ensuring they learn and reason based on high-quality, real-world scientific input.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert insights on AMO physics with a specific focus on the optical properties of materials.
- Review and analyze ab initio configuration interaction methods used for calculating polarizability in atomic systems.
- Offer technical guidance and critique regarding atomic-structure calculations for Yb-171 and Yb-174 isotopes.
- Identify and explain the physical principles behind sigma and pi transitions in atomic spectra.
- Participate in adaptive, spoken AI interviews to provide clear, concrete examples based on your research and professional experience.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or equivalent) in Physics with a focus on AMO physics or optical properties.
- Proven experience with ab initio quantum chemistry calculations and configuration interaction approaches.
- Deep understanding of atomic-structure computation techniques, particularly concerning ytterbium isotopes.
- Strong ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.
