Payroll and Accounts Payable Analyst

micro1 is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll and Accounts Payable Analyst to manage our core finance operations. In this fully remote role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll and vendor payments, maintaining the integrity of our financial data while supporting our growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including status changes, bonuses, and commissions.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations, benefits deductions, and 401(k) contributions.
• Oversee the full accounts payable lifecycle, from invoice intake to vendor payments.
• Perform three-way matching of invoices and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Reconcile payroll and A/P subledgers to the general ledger for month-end close.
• Administer employee expense reimbursements and maintain internal financial controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in payroll or accounts payable.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and accrual accounting fundamentals.
• Proficiency in payroll platforms, ERP systems, Google Sheets, and Excel.
• Ability to handle confidential financial data with high accuracy and discretion.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in a remote environment.
