We are currently seeking experienced Outpatient Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Specialists to join our team in a fully remote capacity and contribute to our commitment to documentation excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in clinical documentation quality, risk adjustment, and HCC coding integrity within outpatient settings.
- Perform prospective medical record reviews to validate chronic conditions, ensure documentation accuracy, and support appropriate HCC capture.
- Utilize Epic and OurPractice Advisories to identify documentation opportunities and manage clinical integrity initiatives.
- Track and manage work queues and review inventories to meet productivity targets and ensure timely follow-up on CDI interventions.
- Monitor and report on CDI outcomes, documentation trends, and HCC recapture performance to support organizational goals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ambulatory Clinical Documentation Integrity, Risk Adjustment, or related healthcare documentation.
- Active LPN or RN license is required for this position.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and clinical criteria for HCC diagnoses.
- Proficiency in Epic workflows and comfort with virtual collaboration tools and secure remote access technologies.
- Professional certifications such as CCDS, CCDS-O, CDIP, CDEO, or CRC are strongly preferred.
