Andersen is hiring an OSS Solution / Telecom OSS Architect with German for a project modernizing OSS systems and designing scalable telecom architecture for digital transformation.
Our customer is a telecommunications and digital services provider delivering connectivity and communication solutions for residential, business, and institutional customers. It focuses on providing reliable digital services, expanding its technology capabilities, and continuously improving customer experience through infrastructure development, innovation, and modern communication technologies.
The project is focused on transforming a legacy OSS landscape by defining a future target architecture and technical foundation. It aims to modernize systems supporting partner orders, field operations, ticketing, provisioning, monitoring, technical data management, and operational process control.
Responsibilities:
Leading the OSS target architecture workstream.
Assessing the current OSS architecture and main legacy/custom OSS components.
Defining the future OSS capability model and target system responsibility model.
Clarifying the OSS/BSS boundary, especially around OpenService/BSS and the surrounding OSS layer.
Defining target integration principles and architecture patterns.
Supporting decisions around replacement, integration, transition architecture and futureproofing.
Assessing whether target architecture should support single vendor, general contractor, multi-vendor or lot-based sourcing.
Using relevant industry frameworks such as TM Forum ODA, eTOM, TAM and TMF Open APIs as practical reference points.
Supporting architecture workshops with client stakeholders.
Contributing to the technical tender-readiness package, especially architecture context, integration principles, system boundaries and vendor-neutral technical requirements.
Supporting final presentation of the target architecture and roadmap.
Must-haves:
Strong telecom OSS architecture experience for 5+ years.
Experience with OSS transformation, OSS modernization or legacy OSS replacement.
Understanding of provisioning, activation, service assurance, trouble ticketing, field service, partner fulfillment and integration layers.
Experience with OSS/BSS boundaries.
Knowledge of TM Forum frameworks: eTOM, TAM, ODA and/or TMF Open APIs.
Ability to work vendor-neutrally and not push one specific product.
Experience preparing architecture input for RFP / tender processes.
Strong stakeholder communication skills.
Ability to explain complex architecture to business, IT and procurement stakeholders.
Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Nice-to-haves:
Experience with regional telecom / cable / fiber operators.
Experience with Open Access Networks, MVNO integration, fiber inventory, service inventory or resource inventory.
Experience with integration platforms, middleware, service bus or API-led architecture.
Knowledge of ITIL-based operational processes.
German-speaking experience in DACH / Austria.
