OS Image Factory Engineer (R-00195)

We are seeking an OS Image Factory Engineer to design, build, and maintain a standardized image factory that produces secure, repeatable, and version-controlled operating system and container images for enterprise and government environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain standardized OS images for RHEL and Windows environments using automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and manage container image build, validation, promotion, and lifecycle processes.
• Implement DISA STIG-hardened configurations and validate compliance using OpenSCAP or equivalent tooling.
• Integrate vulnerability scanning, security assessment tools, and image signing into automated build pipelines.
• Manage image artifacts, versions, and dependencies while ensuring traceability and adherence to governance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with EC2 Image Builder, HashiCorp Packer, and Ansible configuration management.
• Strong experience developing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure or system artifacts.
• Proven ability to implement security hardening, FIPS-enabled configurations, and software supply chain integrity.
• Experience operating in AWS GovCloud or other regulated cloud environments is highly preferred.
