Oracle Database Engineer - Remote working.

StrategicsIQ is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Engineer to join an award-winning organization. In this fully remote role, you will take full ownership of a mission-critical Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environment, ensuring the scalability, security, and optimization of high-performance data platforms that drive global business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain high-availability Oracle RAC clusters on ExaCC, including configuration of Clusterware and IORM workload isolation.
• Oversee full-lifecycle infrastructure administration, including patching, compute and storage scaling, and deep architectural management of Exadata internals.
• Implement robust Oracle Data Guard architectures and configure automated RMAN and ZDLRA backup workflows to ensure disaster recovery.
• Perform deep diagnostics using AWR, ASH, and OEM to fine-tune Smart Scan and Flash Cache performance.
• Develop operational automation and deployment validation pipelines using Python and Ansible to enhance platform observability.

Requirements

• Proven track record as an Oracle Database Administrator or Engineer within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) and Oracle RAC.
• Strong automation capabilities using Python and Ansible.
• Eligibility to live and work in Europe.
