Optimizely Advisor

Location: 100% remote work 
Expected availability: ASAP or September 2026


We are looking for an Optimizely Advisor who is able to deep dive into our needs, guide our editors on best practices, and help us with our CMS roadmap automation.
 

Responsibilities:
•    Act as the Optimizely CMS subject matter expert for the implementation and rollout of a new global website platform.
•    Ensure Optimizely CMS best practices are followed when designing site structures, content architecture, page hierarchies, settings, and content assets.
•    Support the setup of the global master site, establishing a scalable foundation for rollout to markets across multiple languages.
•    Define and maintain governance standards that ensure consistency across all market implementations.
•    Guide project teams and market stakeholders on how to apply the global content model while supporting necessary localization requirements.
•    Ensure local market implementations adhere to the approved architecture, content structure, and governance principles.
•    Review and challenge proposed solutions to prevent deviations that could negatively impact maintainability, scalability, or future rollouts.
•    Act as the custodian of CMS guidelines and implementation standards, ensuring they are consistently applied across all markets.
•    Provide expert guidance and decision support when platform owners are engaged in other initiatives.
•    Identify opportunities to simplify rollout processes and improve the efficiency of future market deployments.
•    Support the design of appropriate permissions, access levels, and editorial governance within Optimizely CMS.
•    Collaborate closely with platform owners to continuously refine implementation guidelines and best practices.


Requirements: 
•    Extensive hands-on experience with Optimizely CMS in large-scale enterprise environments.
•    Proven experience with multilingual and multi-market website rollouts.
•    Strong understanding of content architecture, governance, localization, and CMS best practices.
•    Experience working with master-site/market-rollout approaches across multiple countries and languages.
•    Ability to act as a trusted advisor and challenge non-standard solutions when required.
•    Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
