micro1 is seeking highly skilled Open-Source Software Engineers to join a specialized AI training project. This role focuses on complex software development tasks, including repository exploration, debugging, system architecture analysis, and rigorous code evaluation to advance AI capabilities in software engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Explore and analyze unfamiliar software repositories to understand complex system architectures.
• Implement, modify, and debug front-end and back-end components across diverse technical stacks.
• Trace data and execution flows across services, APIs, databases, and external dependencies.
• Develop comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality.
• Review and validate AI-generated patches for correctness, security, and maintainability.

Requirements

• A verifiable GitHub profile demonstrating meaningful ownership or contributions to established open-source projects.
• Strong software engineering experience across full-stack, systems, or infrastructure domains.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, Rust, or C++.
• Proven ability to quickly understand, navigate, and modify unfamiliar codebases.
