Chessed.me is a London-based chess school dedicated to providing high-quality 1-to-1 online instruction for children across the UK. We are currently expanding our team of professional tutors to support our growing community of young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct engaging 1-to-1 online chess lessons for students aged 5 to 17, focusing on beginners and improvers.
• Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to each student's specific skill level and learning objectives.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date Google Calendar to facilitate automated class scheduling.
• Provide consistent, high-quality instruction that fosters a positive and productive learning environment for every student.

Requirements

• Strong chess proficiency with a FIDE rating of approximately 1900+ or an equivalent verifiable online rating.
• Fluent English communication skills (C1+) with a clear and neutral accent.
• Over one year of proven experience teaching children, combined with a genuine passion for education.
• Ability to commit to a stable weekly schedule, specifically during UK peak hours, including night shifts.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection, professional headset, webcam, and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
