micro1 is seeking a highly qualified Nuclear & Radiological Security Expert to support a critical initiative focused on defining standards for nuclear-safety evaluations, information abstraction, and escalation protocols. In this fully remote role, you will apply your deep domain expertise to help train next-generation AI systems, ensuring that models learn and reason based on high-quality, real-world technical input.
Key responsibilities
- Define evaluation scope and standards for nuclear and radiological safety, nonproliferation, and security.
- Develop frameworks for the safe abstraction of sensitive or classified information in technical contexts.
- Establish robust escalation thresholds and protocols for handling nuclear security risks in research and operational scenarios.
- Contribute expert guidance on benchmarking nuclear and radiological risk assessments to ensure effective nonproliferation safeguards.
- Review, refine, and validate technical guidelines for nuclear and radiological safety to support advanced-model training.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in nuclear physics, radiological safety, nonproliferation, or nuclear safeguards.
- Advanced degree, professional certification, or equivalent operational experience in nuclear or radiological domains.
- Proven background working with government agencies, national laboratories, regulatory bodies, or academic research institutions.
- Thorough understanding of nonproliferation frameworks, international safeguards, and weapons-relevant controls.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics for diverse audiences.
