Mobile Engineer (Flutter)

Newel Health is seeking a skilled Mobile Engineer with Flutter expertise to join our team in building innovative digital therapeutics and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) solutions. You will play a key role in developing intuitive, accessible, and high-performance mobile applications that transform validated care pathways into seamless experiences for patients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust Flutter applications that interface with medical devices and backend services.
• Translate complex wireframes and UI/UX designs into high-quality, responsive code.
• Collaborate closely with backend, QA, and clinical teams to integrate real-world feedback into continuous feature development.
• Ensure all mobile applications meet strict security, performance, and health regulation standards such as GDPR and HIPAA.
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, to guarantee application stability.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with Flutter and Dart development.
• Strong familiarity with mobile accessibility standards, offline-first design principles, and patient-centered UX.
• Solid understanding of native mobile development languages, specifically Swift and Kotlin.
• Proven experience with RESTful API integration and complex asynchronous programming patterns.
• Knowledge of development in compliance with IEC 62304 standards is considered a significant advantage.
