Middle/Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Yocto)

Sigma Software is looking for a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our growing team and support customers in delivering advanced IoT-driven solutions. You will collaborate with a team of experienced professionals to design and implement high-quality systems that address real-world challenges in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design separate components, modules, and devices while maintaining high-quality code standards.
• Perform comprehensive testing, debugging, and documentation of software and hardware modules.
• Participate in project estimation, planning sessions, and regular meetings with the customer.
• Provide technical assistance to test engineers and support personnel to resolve operational issues.
• Identify deficiencies in development processes and suggest improvements to engineering practices.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience working with C programming.
• Strong background in cloud connectivity, including monitoring and Firmware-Over-the-Air (FOTA) solutions.
• Practical experience with Yocto Linux and communication technologies like LTE, BLE, OpenThread, and MQTT.
• Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot embedded systems on real hardware using tools like J-Link or ST-Link.
• Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency for effective communication.
