Mid-Weight Wordpress Developer

Insight Consultancy is looking for a skilled Mid-Weight WordPress Developer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on building bespoke, high-quality WordPress websites for small businesses, working closely with designers and content writers to bring creative concepts to life in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build bespoke WordPress websites using custom theme development without relying on page builders.
• Convert approved designs into responsive, accurate, and accessible websites.
• Develop custom functionality using PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, and Advanced Custom Fields Pro.
• Manage website hosting, DNS settings, and server-related tasks while performing regular updates and backups.
• Optimize websites for performance, speed, and technical SEO to ensure the best user experience.

Requirements

• Strong experience in building bespoke WordPress themes and maintaining WooCommerce websites.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Sass, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and package management tools.
• Solid understanding of responsive design, mobile-first development, and cross-browser testing.
• Excellent communication skills in English (at least B2 level) and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
