DataArt is seeking a skilled Mid Observability Engineer to join a collaborative team focused on building a robust, configurable telemetry platform. You will play a key role in designing and implementing advanced monitoring, tracing, and metrics capabilities for modern cloud applications using OpenTelemetry and AWS services.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Python SDK libraries for telemetry collection and observability solutions.
- Design and maintain AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry collector configurations, including pipelines, processors, and exporters.
- Implement OpenTelemetry SDK extension patterns for custom metrics, custom spans, and configurable telemetry.
- Build and optimize export pipelines for AWS CloudWatch Metrics and AWS X-Ray.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define observability requirements and telemetry standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in observability engineering, platform engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience designing and implementing ADOT or OpenTelemetry collector pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in developing Python SDKs, libraries, or reusable software components.
- Solid experience with AWS CloudWatch Metrics and AWS X-Ray integrations.
- Deep understanding of observability concepts, including metrics, traces, and telemetry pipelines.
