Mid Backend Engineer

Our client is building a  Composable Media Curation and Trading Infrastructure. They are a world class start-up with years of experience with AdTech infrastructure. Their recent launch of containerisation is an industry leading innovation.  You will need to be proficient in backend development with demonstrated commercial infrastructure experience. 

Responsibilities:

• Designing, writing, testing functionalities for a backend system written in Golang (Go)

• Deploying and maintaining microservices in AWS using Terraform or CloudFormation

• Debugging and maintaining system on production used by consumers across multiple continents

• Scoping and assessing the complexity of features

• Participating in sprint planning, daily sprints and meetings with product owners for grooming new features

• Collaborating with other team members and teams who depend on functionalities that you develop

Required qualifications:

• 3-5 years of production software development experience in a commercial software engineering role using Golang

• Solid hands-on experience in Typescript

• Have owned or co-owned infrastructure for a production service (on-call, capacity planning, incident response etc.)

• Experience using Docker and Kubernetes in production

• Experience in working with AWS/GCP and Terraform / CloudFormation

• Expertise of REST APIs

• Strong hands-on experience of CI&CD processes

• Computer Science degree

• Comfortable with AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor etc.)

• Able to work with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and/or Kanban

• Good communication and collaboration skills

• Self-motivation, proactive attitude

• Proficiency in English, it's our daily business language

Nice to have:

• Background in the AdTech sector, or experience in another low-latency/high-scale environment

• ML Experience
