Metadata Specialist (m/f/d)

KRUK S.A., a leader in the debt collection industry operating across Europe, is looking for a Metadata Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our group-wide data governance initiative, helping to elevate our data maturity by managing metadata schemas and repositories to ensure data assets are easily discoverable and understood.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a standardized metadata schema for all data attributes within the Kruk Data Domain Map.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align metadata standards with business requirements.
• Populate and maintain the metadata repository, including data lineage, usage, and dependencies.
• Define and enforce metadata governance policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
• Provide guidance to data users on effectively utilizing metadata to discover and understand available data assets.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Metadata Specialist or in a similar data governance role.
• Experience in implementing and managing metadata repository tools, preferably Microsoft Purview.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between business and IT teams.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and stay updated with industry trends.
• Practical knowledge of data contracts and experience working in agile projects.
