Join the research team at micro1 as a Member of Technical Staff, Medical & Health Research, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing AI systems designed to support complex healthcare, clinical, and biomedical workflows. This position focuses on the development of rigorous evaluation frameworks that measure medical reasoning, evidence synthesis, and healthcare decision support capabilities to ensure the future of trustworthy AI.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own comprehensive evaluation frameworks for AI systems in medical domains, including benchmarks, scoring methodologies, and clinical quality rubrics.
• Conduct applied research on medical reasoning, evidence-based decision making, and clinical workflows to improve system performance.
• Develop benchmark datasets and evaluation environments based on real-world healthcare and biomedical scenarios.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, and engineers to analyze safety, reasoning quality, and failure patterns.
• Produce research reports and contribute to the development of industry standards for healthcare AI reliability.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
• Deep expertise in clinical practice, healthcare operations, biomedical research, or evidence-based medicine.
• Demonstrated experience conducting medical or healthcare research with a strong understanding of research design.
• Exceptional analytical reasoning and scientific communication skills.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary environments involving research, technology, or policy stakeholders.
