Member of Technical Staff, Enterprise AI

micro1 is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to join our Enterprise AI team. In this role, you will function as a forward-deployed research partner, working directly within enterprise AI systems to uncover failure modes and drive rapid experimental cycles to enhance overall system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Embed within enterprise AI workflows as a research collaborator alongside domain experts and client teams.
• Surface, formalize, and prioritize system failure modes observed in real-world deployments.
• Design high-signal datasets and evaluation protocols to target and address identified system weaknesses.
• Run tight experimental loops to validate hypotheses and quantify performance improvements.
• Develop and benchmark agentic workflows with a focus on robustness and scalability.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
• Strong judgment for research signal quality, including data selection and evaluation design.
• Experience designing datasets and evaluation frameworks for complex machine learning systems.
• Ability to translate ambiguous operational issues into structured, actionable research problems.
• Proven ability to execute effectively in fast iteration cycles and high-ambiguity settings.
